The "Beijing+25" regional review conference in Geneva: an important conference to measure progress on women’s rights in Europe, Asia and North America

This conference, co-organized by UN Women and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), aims to measure progress in Europe, North America and Asia in the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

The 56 UNECE member States will participate in this regional review conference: all the countries of Europe and Central Asia, but also Canada, Israel, Turkey and the United States.

All regions of the world are carrying out the same regional review as an essential first step before the Beijing + 25 Global Review Conference to be held in New York in 2020. Mexico and France will organize preparatory events for this major world conference next year, including the "Generation Equality Forum" in Paris in 2020.
